Easy Haryali suji pancake
Suji pancake is Pancake with base made of suji(semolina). It’s haryali suji pancake because it has green color of veg in base. I have used green peas to make base green because my kids don’t like peas and peas are full of protein. You can add spinach puree instead of peas or carrot if you want red base.
I am using moong dal flour with Suji, if moong dal floor is not available you can use besan (gram flour)
let’s see Ingredients and method to make haryali suji pancake.
Ingredients:
- Suji (Semolina) 1 cup
- Yellow moong dal powder 1/3 cup
- Yogurt 1/3 cup
- Water 2/3 cup
- Green peas paste 1/2 cup
- Fruit salt 1 tbsp (Eno)
- Salt to taste
- Chili powder 1/3 tsp
- Roasted cumin seeds powder 1/3 tsp
- Chopped onion 1/3 cup
- Chopped tomato 1/3 cup (without seeds)
- Green pepper chopped 1/3 cup
- Mozzarella and cheddar cheese 1/3 cup (optional)
- Oil 2 tbsp
Method:
- In a big bow add Suji, dal flour, green peas paste, yogurt and salt.
- Add water and mix everything together. Keep it aside covered for 10-15 minutes.
- In 15 minutes, Suji (semolina) will soak most water in it and now batter will not be runny. It will be little thick.
- Mix 1 tbsp of fruit salt in it and mix very well.
- Add salt ,Chili powder and cumin seeds powder to chopped vegetable and and mix all together.
- Now on thick base pan grease it with oil and on place on medium high flame.
- When it’s hot, Spread batter like pancake with 2 inch thickness.
- Spread 1 tbsp of chopped vegetable mix On pancake and press a little with spatula.
- Sprinkle little oil around and on pancake and cover it to cook for 3-4 minutes.
flip Carefully and cook for 30 seconds from vegetables side, press little bit and flip again. - Now add cheese on top and cover for 2 mins to cook it cooks well and cheese will get melted.
- Serve hot with chutney of your choice or with any dip.
