Dinner rolls are also known as Pav/Pao, vada pav is very famous dish, In which Pav is served with Vada(Potato Fritters) and layered with some spices and chutney. Today i am sharing Pao/Pav/ Dinner rolls recipe.

Dinner rolls/Pav is very easy to make at home with minimum ingredients(flour, yeast, Sugar, Butter, Milk) Once you made it home you will forget to buy it from market every time.

Many breads available in market have eggs in it but we will learn today how to make it eggless with same method. Butter plays very important role for eggless recipes, to give it creamy richness and softness to bread.

Some Important points / Tip Before Baking Dinner rolls at home:

  1. Flour – All purpose flour can be used if bread flour is not available, as i am also using all purpose flour for recipe, if bread flour is available that will be good option that make rolls more fluffy and spongy.
  2. Sweetener – Sugar or honey can be added to add sweetness to Pav/ Dinner rolls and added to yeast to balance yeast fermentation.
  3. Dough should be rest/fermented properly, no rust while baking at home. Dough should be Proper moist for proper softness in Pav/Dinner rolls ,Tight or hard dough will make rolls hard.
  4. Yeast – Instant yeast or active yeast , any yeast can be used, Yeast should be added to warm milk not hot or cold. and it should be properly mix with Milk and should rise, means it should have form bubbles and fermented before adding to flour. If Yeast wont get properly Fermented Dinner rolls/Pav will not come out soft and proper as yeast play important role for making Dinner rolls/Pav.If yeast don’t ferment Check Yeast expiry data or check milk temp , If these 2 are fine it will work for sure :)Now we know Little much about the process of making Pav or dinner rolls at home.
