Healthy Besan ladoo at home

Besan ke ladoo, mouthwatering sweet for sweet craving people, but hard to control while having ladoo infront of you, weather its beasn ladoo(Gram flour ladoo), til ke ladoo(Sesame seeds ladoo), aate ke ladoo(Wheat flour ladoo). In India, these are favorite sweets of winter times because of their nature of nutrients. They have high nutrients values and these flours cooked in ghee provide heat to body to help maintain favorable body temperate during winters. But these can be enjoyed anytime.

 

Ingredients:

  • Besan (gram flour) 500 Gram
  • Ghee (Clarified Butter) 300 gram
  • Granulated /Powder Sugar 450 gram
  • Cardamom powder ½ tsp
  • Melon seeds 3 tbsp
  • Crushed almonds 4 tbsp

 

Method:

  • In a deep heavy bottom pan add ghee and melt it on medium flame, add Besan and roast it on medium flame. Stir continuously and roast it, till it changes its color and ghee float over the gram flour. (mixture will be hard initially but will lightly puff as it gets roasted).
  • When beasn get roasted and you can smell aroma of roasted besan. Switch off flame and add cardamom powder and mix well. Don’t add nut immediately as mixture is very hot, nuts will get burn and loose its taste. After 1 minute of stirring (without flame) Add melon seeds, crushed almonds and mix well.
  • Keep it aside and let it cool down to add sugar, Add sugar when its warm not hot. If it’s hot sugar will melt.
  • Mix Sugar with hand properly and make small balls shape ladoo.
